Michael Sadler Award of Excellence Scholarship
Forest Hills Northern High School

The Michael Sadler Award of Excellence scholarship is presented to the graduating FHN student who embodies Michael's passion for excellence in academics and athletics, while consistently demonstrating strong character, integrity, compassion, humor, and wit. 

Michael R. Sadler D1 Scholar Athlete of the Year
National Football Foundation -  Michigan Chapter

This award is presented to the outstanding Division 1 Scholar Athlete in the State of Michigan.  The recipient must be nominated by his/her university and must demonstrate consistent academic excellence as well as outstanding athletic achievements on the football field.  The recipient must exhibit strong character, integrity and compassion.

In December 2022 this award will be replaced with the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame Michael R. Sadler National Scholar Athlete Award.  Recently endowed, this prestigious award provides an $18,000 post graduate scholarship to one of 12-14 scholar-athletes selected from across the country.  Each member of the NFF National Scholar Athlete Award also becomes a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, which increases their postgraduate scholarship to $25,000.

Mike Sadler Award
Kohl's Annual Scholarship Camp

The Mike Sadler Award is presented to a participant of Kohl's Scholarship Camp who demonstrates excellence as a football specialist.  The recipient must also embody the characteristics of leadership, compassion, integrity and humility. 

Mike Sadler Competitive Edge Award
Michigan State University College of Engineering

This award is presented on MSU's College of Engineering Design Day to the Applied Engineering Sciences (AES) capstone team that best creates an innovative, sustainable and game-changing solution to a current challenge that will give the sponsor a competitive edge by "flipping the field," as Mike used to do for Spartan Football when he'd pin opponents inside the 5 yard line with his punts.
