Recently endowed, this prestigious award provides an $18,000 post graduate scholarship to a scholar athlete who has been selected by the National Football Foundation as one of the top collegiate scholar athletes in the nation. Each member of the NFF National Scholar Athlete Award also becomes a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, which increases the postgraduate scholarship to $25,000.

This award is presented to the outstanding Division 1 Scholar Athlete in the State of Michigan. The recipient must be nominated by his/her university and must demonstrate consistent academic excellence as well as outstanding athletic achievements on the football field. The recipient must exhibit strong character, integrity and compassion.
